WhatIfCannabisCuredCancer-Poster

This video is the trailer for the documentary film by Len Richmond:

Could the chemicals found in marijuana prevent and even heal several deadly cancers? Discover the truth about this ancient medicine as world-renowned scientists in the field of cannabinoid research illustrate their truly mind-blowing discoveries.

'What if Cannabis Cured Cancer' explains how we are all born with a form of marijuana already in our bodies, and when pot is consumed, the endocannabinoids inside us, along with any cannabinoids we ingest, fit together like a key in a lock. Anandamide

N-arachidonoylethanolamide

Anandamide

Anademide is an endogenous cannabinoid neurotransmitter, which is also known as the human body's own cannabis. The name is taken from the Sanskrit word ananda, which means "bliss, delight", and amide. It was isolated and its structure was first described by Czech analytical chemist Lumír Ondřej Hanuš and American molecular pharmacologist William Anthony Devane in 1992. Anandamide has been shown to effect the central system, the brain, and the periphery, in other parts of the body. These effects are mediated primarily by CB1 cannabinoid receptors in the central nervous system and brain, as well as by the CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the periphery. Additionally, studies have shown Anandamide to play a key role in the regulation of appetite, pain and memory as well as having important anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.

Dagga Couple Says South African
Cannabis Laws Are Unconstitutional

On Thursday the 12th of August 2010 at 2am the home of Jules Stobbs and Mytrle Clarke was invaded by the South African police force! They were arrested and imprisoned. The charge on the docket: possession and dealing in Dagga - The South African name for the Cannabis Plant.

They were released on bail, and were subsequently left with a choice between: Paying a large amount of money to make the case “disappear” or challenge the constitutionality of South Africa's Cannabis prohibition laws. They have chosen to take the prohibition laws to the Constitutional Court!

In South Africa the way to do this is to appeal to the Constitutional Court. They started off in their local Magistrate’s Court, where the Magistrate granted their appeal and transferred the case to the High Court. At the hearing in the High Court therir application was granted, and they are now preparing for the Constitutionality hearing on the 4th of October 2011.

If successful, their case will be heard by The South African Constitutional Court sometime next year.
